63,000 people have signed the petition, which calls for supporters and critics to finally come together at one table and debate on ARD in prime time, based on facts, how dangerous Corona really is and whether the measures are proportionate.
The ARD initially refused to even accept the wish of 63,000 people. Through many phone calls and mails from the signatories* this attitude changed and the initiator handed over the petition with some supporters in front of the ARD capital studio in Berlin on September 28, 2020. In addition, a video conference with ARD program creators was promised, in which the initiator could explain his concern.
It is frightening that it takes a petition to demand something which, according to the Interstate Broadcasting Agreement, is the task of the broadcasting institutions. Public broadcasters shall take into account the principles of objectivity and impartiality of reporting, diversity of opinion and balance of their offerings.
At the same time the petition was handed over in Münster, Dresden, Munich and Kiel.
